Cleaning Instructions
The main section of the Petri Green Brooch is silver sheet enamelled with vitreous enamels on both sides. The rear is enamelled with an opaque white enamel and the the front with a transparent green. The surface of the silver is engraved beneath the enamel and detail is added with blue painting enamel and spots of pink and yellow enamel. The layers are built and worked in between firing to achieve the detail. Each of the additional circles has a 5mm hollow depth, the surface of the silver subtly textured and one has a layer of 18ct lemon yellow gold leaf.
