Necklaces / Pendants
by caroline finlay

Unusual asymetric design in a deep orange rust enamel.

Main pendant piece measures 3.5 x 3.5 cm approximately.

This variation on the tidal neckpiece is inspired by The Hebrides landscape and features a beautiful, soft, matt (rust) enamel with a white, weathered surface that contrasts well with the textured and dark grey oxidised silver.

Matt enamel finish. The chain can be worn 2" shorter. Hook clasp fastening.

Techniques used mean no two are identical

Features

  • Primary Material : silver
  • Other Materials : enamel
  • Length (inches) : 20
  • One of a Kind : No
  • Metal : sterling silver
  • Hallmarked : Yes

Cleaning Instructions

Enamel can be washed in warm soapy water, with a soft brush if it becomes discoloured. A little vaseline can be applied to all pieces to help enhance oxidisation and enamel colour.

Vitreous enamel is glass and although pieces are fairly hardwearing, care should be taken not to apply force or scratch the surface.

Oxidisation can wear off with silver dip, abrasion or household chemical e.g. bleach.

When not worn keep piece wrapped in acid free tissue paper (provided) to help prevent tarnishing.
