Misun Won
South Korean born jeweller Misun Won is inspired by Korean traditional wrapping cloth ‘Jogakbo’ and its scientific interpretation with fractal geometry. She mainly uses silver, Keumboo (23.5ct gold foil), Korean braided cord and precious/semi-precious stones. Misun makes rhythmical structures and patterns from one sheet of silver, creating complex forms on their own or in combination with other materials such as coloured thread and silk cord, creating beautiful, wearable jewellery.
Misun is based in Edinburgh where she gained a Masters degree and worked as an artist in residency at Edinburgh College of Art.
