The enamel has a rich, glossy finish which shows the embossed textured silver beneath.
This piece is made using the ancient Basse-taille enamelling technique.

Cleaning Instructions
Enamel can be washed in warm soapy water, with a soft brush if it becomes discoloured. A little vaseline can be applied to all pieces to help enhance oxidisation and enamel colour.
Vitreous enamel is glass and although pieces are fairly hardwearing, care should be taken not to apply force or scratch the surface.
Tarnish on satin finished silver can be removed with silver dip clean.
When not worn keep piece wrapped in acid free tissue paper (provided) to help prevent tarnishing.
