My inspiration lies in linear shapes found in nature, and recurring patterns. In my contemporary jewellery I enjoy the simplicity of repeating one element as a method of construction. Breaking with conventional uses of pattern as surface ornament, the pattern becomes the piece and predicts the eventual outline. I use techniques such as saw-piercing, drilling and riveting to create bold, playful and quirky contemporary jewellery.
