Isabella Bedlington

Isabella Bedlington creates timeless jewellery impacted by history and belief. Every piece is handcrafted in precious metals utilising the torus shape as her reoccurring motif. She creates minimalist everyday jewellery with a strong aesthetic impact, as well as one-off statement pieces with intricate patterns and textures.

The genesis of her creative journey finds its roots in a jade ring-shaped object known as Bi, an ancient artefact from Chinese heritage that historically assisted departed souls on their journey to the afterlife. Her jewellery embodies the torus' cyclic form; this curvaceous, compelling shape symbolises the perpetual cycle of life throughout history in many different cultures.

Isabella has been working on her torus-themed collections since graduating from Glasgow School of Art in 2023.
